When Will My Challenge Start?

Wellbeing+ challenges will show as "started" or Active beginning at 12:00 am on the first day of the challenge according to the time zone selected in your client App Settings. This may not correspond to midnight in the user's time zone.

For example: The challenge updates to started at 12:00 am PST. If a user is in EST, this means the challenge will update to started at 3:00 am EST for them. However, any steps this user got from 12:00 am to 3:00 am EST will automatically be scored in the challenge once it updates to started.

How Does This Impact Scoring?

Although a challenge may update to started at a time that doesn't correspond to midnight for all users, steps each user received from midnight on the start date of the challenge to 11:59:59pm on the end date of the challenge according to their time zone will be scored into the challenge. This means that all users will have the same amount of time to get their activity in.

How Does This Impact Content and Announcements?

Your time zone selected in your client App Settings determines when scheduled content* and announcements will appear in the app. For example, if you schedule content to post at 9am and your client time zone is set to PST, your content will be shared at 9am PST for all participants.
โ€‹*This applies to both content in a challenge and content campaigns.

When Will My Challenge End?

All Wellbeing+ challenges will end according to the user's specific time zone. Everyone will have until 11:59:59pm on the final day of the challenge according to their own time zone to collect any final step, distance, and minute totals.

Please reach out to your challenge admin if you are interested in finding out more about your challenge's default time zone.
