Ok, My Google Health (Fitbit) is Connected. How Do I Sync?

Learn how to sync steps from your Google Health (Fitbit) to Wellbeing+

Written by Wellbeing+ Team

Now that you’ve connected your Google Health, learn how to sync steps, distance, and active minutes to Wellbeing+. We’ll also show you how to make sure you’ve got data available to sync.

The Syncing Process

To sync to Wellbeing+, you first need to open your Google Health app and pull down on the screen to refresh. This will pull your most recent activity data into Google Health’s cloud server, which is where Wellbeing+ gets your steps.

Once you’ve refreshed the Google Health app, open your Wellbeing+ app and wait to see a ‘Last synced:' message to confirm that you’ve synced to Wellbeing+.

We recommend syncing by refreshing your Google Health totals and then opening the Wellbeing+ app at least once a day during your challenge. All Wellbeing+ challenges have a 72-hour grace period after the challenge ends to give you extra time to sync your final steps, so make sure you sync before the grace period is up.

What if Steps Aren’t Showing in Google Health?

If steps, distance, or minutes aren’t in your Google Health cloud server, then they can’t sync to Wellbeing+. You can confirm that you have activity data in Fitbit’s cloud server by checking your step count on Google Health's website.

If activity data isn’t showing in your Google Health cloud server or syncing correctly to Wellbeing+, please see these troubleshooting tips for Fitbit users.
